Master Teacher - Choreographer

February 2010

Dear Dance Friends,

The weather has been frigid! I sincerely hope you all are staying warm and snug dancing!
My new year started off in Colorado Springs working with young, motivated dancers at The Ormao Dance Center.
These energetic students accepted the challenge in my classes and the choreographic work I set for the senior
group. Their hearts and souls were ever so present with their love for jazz dance. It was a truly gratifying
experience. www.ormaodance.org

Next stop was Amsterdam, The Netherlands keeping the spirit of jazz dance alive in Europe.
At the end of this month I am back in the heart of Texas teaching master classes for the Houston Metropolitan
Dance Center and Episcopal High School. www.ehshouston.org
And I will be setting a new work for The Houston Metropolitan Dance Company which will premiere in the spring.
I have worked with these fine dancers for so many years that it feels like home at The Met! www.houstonmetdance.com

I dedicate this newsletter to the memory of Katie Starlight.
She gave me unconditional love. The same unconditional
love that we give to our students by teaching dance.

At this time I am booking for the 2010-2011 season.
I sincerely hope to include you in my program and share
my passion for jazz dance.

Kind regards and Happy Hearts,

Pattie Obey
